Many companies, one set of rooms
A coworking space hosts freelancers, startups and satellite teams from a dozen employers, all sharing the same kitchen, restrooms and meeting rooms. Members judge the membership by how those rooms feel at nine in the morning, and prospective members judge it on a tour. Each visit puts the shared rooms first, then the details a guest sees on a tour, and private suites follow the cycle each tenant chooses.
That mix also means no single tenant owns the shared rooms, so nobody tidies them on their own. The cleaning plan fills that gap, giving the operator one routine for the common floor and a separate line for each private suite.
Hot desks and open seating
Because open seats change hands all day, every unclaimed desk is wiped from edge to edge, and so are the chair arms, desk lamps and the tops of power and charging hubs. Dedicated desks that hold a member’s monitor, notebooks or plants get the clear areas wiped and everything else left exactly in place. Floors under the rows are vacuumed, and stray cups, wrappers and recycling are cleared so the floor reads as ready for anyone who walks in.
Booking screens and shared printers are wiped on their outer surfaces with a lightly dampened cloth, and spray never goes onto the electronics.
Phone booths, private offices and meeting rooms
Phone booths are tight spaces in steady use, and fingerprints and crumbs show quickly in them. The glass door on both sides, the small shelf, the bench seat and the handle get a wipe each visit, followed by a pass of the vacuum across the booth floor. Each private office runs on whatever cycle its tenant arranges through the operator, from nightly to once a week.
Meeting rooms get tables wiped, chairs pushed in, whiteboard ledges and trays cleaned, glass walls polished and floors vacuumed, leaving the room set for whoever booked it next. Boards with notes still on them are left alone unless the operator tells us they can be erased.
The café kitchen and coffee bar
Members use the kitchen from the morning’s first espresso until the last mug is rinsed at night. Coffee machine exteriors, grinders and the counter around them are wiped down, spills are cleaned from the fridge and microwave, sinks are scrubbed and drying racks emptied, and the bins are emptied into the building’s trash and recycling containers. The floor is mopped last.
Spaces that want snacks, coffee and drinks bought and shelved for members can add our breakroom and pantry restocking, run separately from the cleaning visit.
Lounges, the front entry and restrooms
The lounge is part office and part living room, with sofas, rugs and armchairs that take crumbs and coffee drips. Upholstery is vacuumed on a rotation, and rugs and carpeted lounges can be scheduled for periodic commercial carpet cleaning on a weekend. The front entry gets its glass, door hardware and welcome desk cleaned on every visit.
Each restroom gets its toilets, sinks, mirrors and floor cleaned, and dispensers are topped up with paper towels, toilet tissue and soap, from products we supply or from the operator’s stock.
Events, night owls and weekend access
Many coworking spaces run evening talks, networking nights and member parties, and some give members keycard access around the clock. Visits are scheduled after events wrap up, and on nights when members are still working the crew starts with empty rooms and quietly works around occupied desks. A day porter can keep the kitchen, restrooms and lounge in order during the busiest daytime hours, leaving the full clean to the night visit.
Everyone on the crew is background-checked, which matters in a room full of members’ laptops and bags.
Flexible workspace in Sacramento’s districts
Sacramento’s flexible workspace ranges from renovated older buildings downtown and in Midtown to newer flex suites in suburban office parks in Rancho Cordova and Natomas. A converted building brings brick, exposed ductwork and older floors that collect dust in corners, while a suburban floor plan leans toward carpet tiles and long glass walls. A walkthrough with the operator sets the room list and visit times, and the plan grows as the space adds desks or a second floor. Spaces that lease whole suites to single companies can cover those suites under our office cleaning.
A few useful answers
Common questions.
Can the crew work while members with 24-hour access are still at their desks?
Yes. The crew starts in empty rooms, works quietly around anyone at a desk and finishes occupied areas once they clear or on the next visit.
Can the crew come in right after a member event?
Yes. Put event nights on the schedule as later visits, and the crew clears tables, empties bins, cleans the kitchen and restrooms and leaves the floor ready for morning members.
What does the walkthrough of our space cover?
The operator shows us the floor plan, member hours, event nights, which suites run on their own cycle and where supplies are kept, and the visit plan is written from that.
How often should a coworking space be cleaned?
Every day the space is open for the kitchen, restrooms and open seating. Private offices follow the cycle each tenant picks, and lounge upholstery and rugs go on a periodic deep-cleaning schedule.
