Dining courts across the city
Sacramento’s shared dining rooms range from campus unions to shopping-center courts, with seating that fills from breakfast to evening. Busy, shared rooms like that are exactly what this service is for. Regional malls and office towers with shared seating follow the same pattern of fast meal peaks and quieter afternoons.
Sacramento Janitorial Co splits the work between daytime porters who keep pace with the crowd and a night crew that takes care of the deep cleaning. The two shifts share one checklist, so anything the day team spots, such as a wobbly table or a stained booth, is picked up that night.
During service: tables, trays and stations
Porters circle the seating area through each meal period, wiping tables and seats, picking up trays, tidying condiment counters and refilling napkins and utensils, from our supplies or the house stock. Waste, recycling and compost bins are emptied and relined before they fill, and the counter around them is wiped down.
High chairs, booster seats and charging counters get a wipe between users, and dropped food under tables is picked up before it travels into the corridors.
Chairs, booths, stools and patios
Courts mix hard chairs, upholstered booths, high-top stools and outdoor furniture, and each gets the right care. Hard seats are wiped and sanitized, upholstery vacuumed and spot-treated, stool footrests wiped where shoes scuff them, and patio tables cleared of leaves and debris before the first customers arrive.
Spills and safe walkways
A dropped tray or a tipped drink is handled as soon as it is seen, because a wet tile floor in a crowded seating area is the quickest way for a good lunch to go wrong. Signs go up, the spill is mopped, the floor is dried, and the porter returns to the loop. Day porter coverage is explained in more detail on our day porter services page.
Restrooms through the day
Food court restrooms are checked on a set loop during meal hours, covering counters, fixtures, dispensers and floors, then fully cleaned overnight. Baby-changing stations are wiped and sanitized on each loop. Periodic grout and partition detail is available through commercial restroom deep cleaning.
After close: the deep clean
Overnight, tables and chair frames are washed, booths vacuumed, tray stands and waste enclosures scrubbed, sneeze guards and glass polished and condiment counters degreased. Hard floors are scrubbed to remove grease and sticky residue, and carpeted seating areas can be treated with hot water extraction.
Worn finish on resilient tile around the busiest tables is restored through commercial floor care on a schedule that suits the property.
Vendor kitchens and coordination
Vendor kitchens can be added on their own checklist when the vendor or the property books them, from the cook line and prep surfaces to walk-ins and kitchen floors. A vendor that wants its counter front and menu boards wiped can add them to the porter route. The night crew coordinates with security and the property team on access, alarms and lock-up.
Every cleaner is background-checked, and supervisors inspect seating, restrooms and floors regularly. Stores around a mall court can join the same plan through retail store cleaning.
Food halls and the academic calendar
Game days, graduations and holiday weekends bring crowds well beyond a normal lunch. Extra porter hours can be booked for those dates, with the night crew starting later to work around a late close.
Food halls mix local vendors with communal tables, bar seating and patios, and their crowds shift from lunch to evening. Porter routes are written around those changes. Campus courts follow the semester, with full weekday lunches and quiet breaks that suit deeper seating and floor projects.
Price reflects seating area, the number of tables and stations, restrooms, porter hours, overnight visits, floor type and any vendor kitchens added.
A few useful answers
Common questions.
Will someone keep the seating clean while lunch is busiest?
Yes. Porter hours follow your traffic, with the most coverage during the busiest meal periods.
Do you clean food hall vendor kitchens?
Yes, when the vendor or the property books it. Each kitchen gets its own checklist apart from the seating, cook line and walk-ins included.
How are sticky floors handled overnight?
They are scrubbed to lift grease and sugar residue, rinsed and left dry, with refinishing scheduled when the finish wears.
Can deep cleaning happen during campus breaks?
Yes. Quiet weeks between terms are a good time for seating, booth and floor projects.
